THAT'S WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT.

  • Feeding the wild animals 2 - 3 times a day

  • Cleaning the cages and fences of the animals in the Custodial Centre

  • Intensive care of the monkey babies in the "kindergarten

  • Repair and construction of fences and cages in the Custodial Centre and ANIMAL PARK

  • ...and other things where you would like to lend a hand. Your own ideas and creativity are always welcome :)

THAT'S WHAT WE EXPECT.

  • Willingness to work 6 days a week (usually Sundays off).

  • Respecting the rules that allow a smooth cooperation

  • Responsible treatment of animals and people

  • Consideration of the minimum stay of 3 weeks

YOU TAKE NOTE OF THIS.

  • Even though most animals are used to people, they remain wild animals. Respect and caution are required.

  • Our dress code includes long pants and rubber boots.

  • The nearest town, Santa Cruz, is 45 minutes away. Transfers to AFASI will be arranged.

  • Drug and excessive alcohol use is not permitted.

  • Knowledge of Spanish is not required, but helpful. We also speak English and German.

  • To work with us you need a tetatnus vaccination.

  • Unfortunately, there are no costs. There is a fee to be paid, which benefits AFASI.

  • You will usually receive three meals a day, 7 days a week.

  • With the other volunteers you live in rustic huts with private bathroom, shower and toilet. If a couple wants to volunteer with AFASI, we can find a solution for a double room.
